I&#8217;m a #PlayfulLearning advocate, passionate about playful engagement and the uses of technology to enhance open education, access, and information sharing.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m part of the Open Education team at theUniversity of Edinburgh, you can learn more about us on our <a href=\"http:\/\/open.ed.ac.uk\/\" data-uoe-button=\"info-sign\">Open.Ed<\/a>\u00a0webpages.<\/p>\n<p>I educate and teach in HE on OER, copyright and open licensing, providing fun and engaging workshops and training sessions, including GifItUp and <a href=\"http:\/\/open.ed.ac.uk\/run-your-own-board-game-jam\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-uoe-button=\"info-sign\">OER Game Jam sessions.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A few years ago I created and still lead on our award winning <a href=\"http:\/\/www.23things.ed.ac.uk\/\">23 Things for Digital Knowledge<\/a> programme to develop digital confidence and wisdom.<\/p>\n<p>Recently I&#8217;ve been working on our <a href=\"https:\/\/thinking.is.ed.ac.uk\/playful-engagement\/\">ISG Playful Engagement<\/a> themes and goals as strategy for our Information Services.<\/p>\n<h2>2) What is your vibe? Share it in a meme or quote\u2026<\/h2>\n<p>What would Kathryn Janeway do?<\/p>\n<p>(inner strength, warmth and care, responsibility and resilience)<\/p>\n<h2>3) What gives you hope these days?<\/h2>\n<p>The incredible community and care that has been visibly rising up out the current situation to connect, care, and protect.<\/p>\n<h2>4) Who are you learning from lately?<\/h2>\n<p>My incredible bubble that I&#8217;m fortunate to be bunkering down with for the time being. We are caring, protecting, teaching, and sharing skills. My digital community has also been teaching me a lot, from craft and cooking skills, to resilience and humour.<\/p>\n<h2>5) In your opinion, what should we all be caring about? Why?<\/h2>\n<p>Not just the big picture. Keep an eye on the small, on the precious moments, the calm and the beauty.<\/p>\n<h2>6) What do you hope to take away from OER20?<\/h2>\n<p>I am always impressed by the community and care displayed by OER folks and looking forward to an outpouring of this in 2020.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1) Who are you?
