2) What is your vibe? Share it in a meme or quote…
hope
3) What gives you hope these days?
my family, friends, amazing open education colleagues, and all who are keeping this world going at the moment by caring for others.
4) Who are you learning from lately?
my daughter and my son.
5) In your opinion, what should we all be caring about? Why?
for some reason what just popped into my head was my mantra to my children (when they were teenagers) on those evenings when they headed out into the world, just 3 things: look after yourself, look after your friends and others, and have fun. those 3 things seems useful now too. self care is essential (and as Audre Lorde reminds us, often political). we are always called to care and look out for our loved ones, our communities and all who suffer from injustice – but especially now. and of course, we must find moments of light & joy, always.
6) What do you hope to take away from OER20?
as always: inspiration, new perspectives, laughter, hope & joy… and renewed energy for the time ahead.
