1) Who are you?
Hi, my name is Leigh (pronounced Lee) and I am from the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. I’m a clinical associate professor in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State University. I teach in our Leadership & Innovation EdD program (which is completely online, thus the living in Michigan and working in Arizona thing.) I like to share and listen.
2) What is your vibe? Share it in a meme or quote…
Do not be daunted by the enormity of the world’s grief. Do justly, now. Love mercy, now. Walk humbly now. You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it.
(found on Instagram…attributed to the Talmud)
3) What gives you hope these days?
Art, in all forms.
4) Who are you learning from lately?
Chefs, bakers, and food writers. Trying to learn how to make bread well.
5) In your opinion, what should we all be caring about? Why?
Each other and our communities.
6) What do you hope to take away from OER20?
Connection and inspiration. I’m inspired by this community year round, conference days bring that all into sharp & concentrated focus.
