1) Who are you
My picture is my granddaughter’s portrait of me on the sofa with my iPad – my usual place. I’m semiretired, still working one day a week as an educational developer at the University of Brighton. Right now my main focus is working with colleagues to help shift to remote/ online teaching in a way that is sensitive to students very different contexts and levels of access to time, space and technology.  I recently contributed a square to the #femedtechquilt which I hope will eventually be unveiled in physical space. Until then I’m really looking forward to the online conference.

2) What is your vibe? Share it in a meme or quote… Freire “Teaching [as] an act of love”

3) What gives you hope these days? The sheer outpouring of creativity and generosity in response to the coronavirus emergency. (It helps to balance the rage I feel at politicians wilful inadequacy)

4) Who are you learning from lately? In this area, Im consistently inspired by Maha Bali, Sherri Spelic, Kate Bowles, Bonnie Stewart and many more who I’ve encountered through #femedtechquilt . Older acquaintances I’m still learning from include Kim Shahabudin, Sandra Sinfield, Helen Webster and others from field of learning development

5) In your opinion, what should we all be caring about? Why? Can’t really get my head round such an enormous question, but I guess students, colleagues family, each other…
