Hi, I’m Su-ming, most people call me Su. I’m a sociologist working at the National University of Ireland, Galway, in the west of Ireland. I’m interested in the sociology of knowledge, higher education, social justice, global activism, human rights and ‘global development’

4) Who are you learning from lately?

Feminists; sociologists of knowledge; several critical and decolonial reading and writing circles; collaborators in my current BCAUSE research project on equity and quality in HE

5) In your opinion, what should we all be caring about? Why?

We should care about care itself. Because care is at the centre of justice and will the crucial piece in remaking democracy, health and our relationships to the planet and each other, with hope
