1) Who are you?

I am Tamsin. I’ve been working in learning technology research in HE for many years and have been involved in projects that have co-designed, developed and evaluated learning technology tools and approaches to support learning – with a particular emphasis on workplace learning, informal learning and medical education. More recently I have also set-up a start-up company that provides an interactive ePoster platform and service for conferences.

2) What is your vibe? Share it in a meme or quote…

There is such a thing as society – we’re stronger together.

3) What gives you hope these days?

The community supporting each other – so many examples of this in so many different contexts over the last few weeks

4) Who are you learning from lately?

Too many people to list.

5) In your opinion, what should we all be caring about? Why?

Society. Currently we’re physically distancing but it’s great to see how we’re all socially connecting and learning together. The speed of open sharing of scientific knowledge, data and resources globally seems to have been massively increased recently. This at least is a positive step.

6) What do you hope to take away from OER20?

Update my understanding of OER – current approaches, issues and technologies. Also to get a feel for how an online conference can work, especially looking at how it supports informal interaction and learning between participants themselves.
