1) Who are you?
I am a Retention Cooridinator for St. Clair College in Windsor/Chatham, Ontario. I am also an Open Ranger with eCampus Ontario and an Ontario Extender for life.
2) What is your vibe? Share it in a meme or quote…
When it came to OPEN, I used to ask permission and then I asked forgiveness. Not any more, now my motto is
Proceed until apprehended!
But first you have to catch me!
3) What gives you hope these days?
The willingness of people around me to try new things, to do what they have not done before, to make mistakes when learning, and when something doesn’t go right, to do it again. This includes my students, my tutors and my colleaques. The support and encouragement of my Administrators to keep pushing and exploring in all that is open.
4) Who are you learning from lately?
I am grateful to the diverse educators, librarians and supporters in my PLN on Twitter who lead me to new ideas, websites, tools and resources on a daily basis.
5) In your opinion, what should we all be caring about? Why?
Ensuring that the quiet voices are heard, that there is always an extra seat at the table for those that want to join, and that those who are battling alone find support.
6) What do you hope to take away from OER20?
New ideas, new voices to heed, and a sense of community.
