1) Who are you?

I’m the Executive Director of Open Education Global (OE Global) based in Vancouver Canada where I lead a virtual team supporting open education efforts around the world.

2) What is your vibe?

Here’s a poem I wrote that sums up my vibe:

i am a rock

around which rushing waters flow

a stepping stone

for crossing the river

i am a child

inside an old mans body

reborn

opening eyes for the first time

wearing reading glasses

i can see what lies ahead

i can see the other side

the lights are on

the door is open

some say stop

i say go

but there is no rush

lets take it slow

i pack light

but my heart

is carry on

a gift for others

i am a passport

blank pages

to be stamped

by loves entry

i am the year ahead

a labyrinth of gateways

and runways

dates to be scheduled

and eaten

i am the journey

the discovery

the surprise

the seeking

missing pieces

i am a puzzle

you are a riddle

lets sing a song

while god

plays the fiddle

3) What gives you hope these days?

In a time of isolation and social distancing we can still touch souls.

4) Who are you learning from lately?

Donna Leon

5) In your opinion, what should we all be caring about? Why?

Preserve social practices intrinsic to human nature – social connection, expressions of affection, care for others.

6) What do you hope to take away from OER20?

Deeper understanding of care in open education, professional and personal connections, opportunities for collaboration.
